“Defiant”

I love creating stormy skies with gunpowder and had the idea of creating something that opposed/defied a storm. Because horses are part of our Montana prairies where this storm “came from” it seemed natural that a stallion be the subject. “Defiant” is multi layered, with burned edges left exposed in a float frame.
